How to Navigate Your Retirement in These Turbulent Times - Part II

The financial world facing today's retiree is different than they expected to encounter. Greater risks and volatility, lower than expected investment returns and financial crises continue to make managing the financial aspect of retirement challenging. In Part I, we studied the macro risks facing today's retiree, such as inflation/deflation, longevity, the state of pensions, secular bear and bull markets, sequence rate of return and demographics. In Part II, we will study how these macro issues impact specific types of investments, such as stocks, bonds, real estate and gold. While we will build upon the foundation that we studied in Part I, it is not necessary to have taken Part I before taking Part II. We will be reviewing the macro risks applicable to each of these types of investments as we cover each of them.
